London and Berlin was known for "imperial platform coach buses" I'm remember The LEYLAND RTW 467 old red bus, In France only in the town of Paris, a special platform BERLIET bus (Green and white) was used on the line 94 (Levallois Perret to Opera)... But Parisian city have since a longtime used the typic TN old platform bus (1912 to 1972 !),after they used Chausson, Saviem , Panhard, Berliet, and now Renault Iris...
